Cypress Station Grill
A new 7,000 sf restaurant in Cypress, Texas, this project is located adjacent to a county run heritage park, a collection of City of Cypress historical homes from the late 1800’s. A train track runs along the main road and a now demolished old train station full of local history once sat on the other side of the track..
The Owner, a Cypress native, wanted to create a uniquely homegrown family style dining experience that would reflect his ties to the area. Creating an environment reminmescent of the local history and architecture, and invoking a nostalgic comfort of an old train station became the underlying guide in the design process.
The main dining room was conceived as a barn–like train depot. Quieter booth seating to either side give a nod to old train carts. Outdoor patio dining in the back opens up to a beautifully landscaped garden screening the parking lot beyond.
