Hungry's Café & Bistro
Converting an existing 4,225 SF cafeteria style restaurant building into this new café & bistro followed several guidelines: new spatial and functional requirements, new image to reflect the neighborhood and its clientele, and limited construction budget.
Through the additions of an exterior walk-in cooler/freezer and a storage room, extensive remodeling of the interior space, and the addition of an outdoor dining area, the seating capacity was increased extensively, and the operational aspect of the restaurant was improved dramatically.
By adding just a few new architectural elements and through thoughtful use of colors, only minimal reconstruction of the exterior façades was needed to achieve the transformation of the building image.
